Daniel Andersson

Accordeonist

Daniel Andersson was born 1984 in Dalecarlia, Sweden, and started to play the accordion at the age of nine. He has studied for professor Oleg Sharov in St Petersburg and for professor Max Bonnay in Paris.

Daniel has achieved prizes in several international competitions and have twice won the Swedish championship in accordion. He has travelled and played concerts  all over Europe, USA and in Africa.

In the year of 2005 he was awarded ”The accordionist of the year” in Sweden and have multiple times been invited to play for the Swedish Royal family.

He is performing as soloist and in various ensembles with a mixed repertoire of classical music, folkmusic, tango and other genres.

Together with the bandoneonist Jens Lundberg he started the duo ”Dos Fueyes” (two bellows) which has been touring in Scandinavia and France. Their program consist of traditional tango, Tango Nuevo and baroque music.
